Roy M. Franklin, 90, of Wareham, died Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Irene M. (King) Franklin and had just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Warren and Delia (Guidaboni) Franklin. Mr. Franklin was service manager for Strawn Buick in Wareham for many years.

Survivors include his wife Irene of Wareham; his son, David Franklin of Cataumet; two daughters, Susan White of Monument Beach and Lori Denson of Wareham; and three grandchildren, Geoffrey White, Nicholas Denson, and Jared Franklin.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham from 9 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
