Rubber Duck Race to return May 29

May 10, 2022

The Wareham Friends of the Library’s duck race will return to the Tihonet Canal on Sunday, May 29.

Registration will be open from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and at 1 p.m., the rubber duck racers will be released into the water at the head of the canal.  The fastest duck will win the race.

Ducks cost $5 for one, $25 for a “six quack” or $50 for a baker’s dozen of 13 ducks. Library fans can also spring for a Golden Flock — 25 ducks for $100.

Before the race, there will be games and “ducky fun for all,” the Friends said.

This event will be held at the A.D. Makepeace Company’s Tihonet Village at 150 Tihonet Rd.

All proceeds will support the work of the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
