Sandra Joyce (Alves) Andrade, 74, of West Yarmouth, died May 24, 2022, in Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. She was the daughter of the late Francis Pina and Amelia Alves.

She was born in Wareham and lived in West Yarmouth for many years.

Mrs. Andrade worked as a medical assistant at Cape Cod Hospital for 19 years before retiring. She later worked for Bayada Healthcare.

She was a deeply spiritual woman who enjoyed going to thrift shops, crafts, spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Debra Alves of Naples, FL, Paul Alves and his wife Diane of Watertown, Lorna Alves of Naples, FL and Robert Alves and his wife Elsa of Naples, FL; her brothers and sister, Joseph Alves and his wife Wanda of Brockton, Antone Alves of Hyannis and Lisa Johnson and her husband Kevin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Eric Lopes and Amaree Jayde Alves; three great grandchildren, Robert Anthony Alves, III, Kayden Alves and Elara Lopes; many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joan Andrade and Paul A. Alves and a grandson, Robert Alves, Jr.

Visiting hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
