Thanks from the WVA

Dec 21, 2013

The Wareham Village Association Board of Directors extends its sincerest thanks to all those organizations and individuals who made this year’s Community Christmas Parade such a resounding success.

First and foremost, we’re glad we were able to accommodate on short notice the Championship Wareham Tigers Pop Warner B Team – thank you to Mike Levitt from Seacoast Crane for providing a boom truck as a float, and to Morse Lumber for helping to set it up.

The parade itself featured 50-plus floats, children’s groups, businesses, organizations, and animals. We truly appreciated the Wareham High School Marching Band, the fun dancers from Kaleidescope, and the A.D. Makepeace Company for its Santa-carrying swan float. And we’re certain that Wareham has the only Christmas parade that offers onlookers samples of world-famous seafood bisque, hand-delivered along the parade route by Lindsey’s elves.

No downtown activities would be complete without the Wareham Fire Department. Their outstanding decorations, their float and their post-parade festivities clearly enhanced the overall event.

The Wareham Village Association is planning some exciting new events for 2014, all designed to enhance the vitality of our downtown.  Visit warehamvillage.org for updates and to contact us. Input and feedback are welcome.

Happy Holidays to all!

Sincerely,

Bob Brady, President
Wareham Village Association
