Let the games begin!

A children’s field day will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. in Parkwood. It will begin with games at the Parkwood Beach ballfield, then will proceed with a parade of decorated bikes and golf carts to the Clubhouse on Datewood Street.

If the weather is rainy, the event will be moved to the Clubhouse.

The free and the brave

The Wareham Gatemen will host their second annual first responders night at Spillane Field, 54 Marion Road.

The event will start with a touch-a-truck at 5 p.m. There will be a state police helicopter flyover at 5:15 p.m. and pregame ceremonies at 5:45 p.m. First pitch is at 6 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.

Baseballs and ice cream

What’s better than stories with the Gatemen Players? Why, Ice Cream AND stories with the Gatemen Players.

It’s another special program with the Wareham Gatemen at 10 a.m. Join players at Spillane Field where they will read stories to and eat ice cream with kids of all ages.

The program is free and no registration is required. Be sure to bring your gloves.

Calligraphy content

Join local calligrapher Rick Paulus as he talks about his journey as a calligrapher at 6:30 p.m. This program will take place at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road.

Paulus will talk about how he got started and introduce attendees to the art No registration or payment is required.
