Two arrests on Monday, April 8

Apr 9, 2019

On Main Street, Wareham Police asked driver Jose Rego, 47, of New Bedford, to perform a field sobriety test after he approached an officer to ask for directions. Officers arrested and charged him for driving under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Later that night, at about 8:35 p.m., officers responded to Tobey Hospital for a man causing a disturbance in the emergency room. After several failed attempts to calm Joseph Larose, 53, of Plymouth, officers placed him under arrest. While being taken to the cruiser, Larose resisted the officers by dropping on the floor and refusing to get up. He continued resisting at the police station where he had been carried to a cell and charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest.
