October is a busy month for the Gleason Family YMCA.

On Friday, October 14, the Y will host its 3rd annual Wine & Octoberfest Beer Tasting at the Marion Music Hall, located at 164 Front Street in Marion, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $50 per person in advance or $55 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the YCares Financial Assistance Fund, which provides financial help for individuals and families who cannot afford Y memberships and programs on their own.

The Gleason Family Y will host a yard sale on Sunday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The vendor fee is $20 and the sale is open to both members and the general public. Vendors must bring their own tables. For 508-295-9622 for more information.

Celebrate Halloween with the Gleason Family Y on Friday, October 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Families are invited to take a walk through the Y's illuminated "haunted forest." Admission costs $4 per person.
