Update: Connecticut man MedFlighted to Boston after tractor trailer rollover, Wareham woman uninjured
A Connecticut man was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after the tractor trailer he was driving rolled over on Route 195 east at the ramp to 495 north just after 10 p.m. on Monday.
Glenn Bradshaw of Bridgeport, Conn., was transported with serious injuries that appeared not to be life threatening, said State Police Lieutenant Matthew Murray. Bradshaw's age could not immediately be confirmed. A hospital official said Tuesday that Bradshaw had been discharged.
Bradshaw and his passenger, 40-year-old Wareham resident Donna J. De Rose, were trapped in the cab of the vehicle and were extricated by Wareham firefighters, Murray said.
Both the north and southbound lanes of 495 were shut down at Route 58 to accommodate for the MedFlight for roughly 15 to 20 minutes.
In addition to State Police from the Bourne barracks and the Wareham Fire Department, the Onset Fire Department and Wareham Police assisted at the scene.
The circumstances of the crash continue to be investigated by State Trooper Gerald F. Donovan.
