Vera L. (Litzen) Ouimet, 71, of Wareham, died October 27, 2010 at home while surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Richard J. Ouimet and the daughter of the late George W. and Vera (Potter) Litzen.

She was born in Norwood and lived in Bridgewater and Raynham before moving to Wareham.

Mrs. Ouimet graduated from Bridgewater High School and Katharine Gibbs School in Boston.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her widower; two sons, Jeffrey Ouimet, and his wife Robyn, of Douglas, and Mark Ouimet, and his wife Lori, of Falmouth; a daughter, Jerolyn Ouimet, and her husband Louis Zearo, of Saratoga Springs, NY; two brothers, George D. Litzen, of Estero, FL, and Roy Litzen, of Raynham; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Danielle Ouimet.

Her funeral was held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham and was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial was in St.  Patrick’s Cemetery.

Visiting hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
