Walk to End Alzheimer's personal for West Wareham woman
Joyce Magan of West Wareham will participate in the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Massachusetts Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 24 at Fort Taber in New Bedford.
“I want to see this horrible disease stopped in my lifetime,” said Magan who lost her mother to Alzheimer’s in 2014.
This is Magan’s first year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Joyce joins a team of colleagues from Home Instead Senior Care, a company working with clients affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. To date, the team has raised more than $800 for the event.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
