The Wareham-Carver wrestling team made a strong showing in an eight-team face-off in Sandwich for a double roster tournament the weekend of Dec. 18.

Five of the Wareham-Carver team's varsity wrestlers placed in the top three.

Wareham junior Brian Daviage took third place in the 195 weight division.

Wareham freshman, Ronald Oliver took third place in the 138 lb. weight division.

The tournament was a double roster event, which meant every team could enter two wrestlers in each weight bracket. The wrestlers competed for the best out of 16 matches. Teams represented were Sandwich High School, Boston College High School, Lincoln-Sudbury, Dighton-Rehoboth, Taunton, Quincy, Fall River, and Wareham-Carver.
