Wareham man charged after rollover crash on Main Street

Oct 14, 2018

A Wareham man is facing two charges after a rollover crash closed a small section of Main Street for several hours on Sunday night.

Police have charged Maxx Phillips, 30, with marked lanes violations and negligent operation of a motor vehicle following the crash, which occurred just before 4:30 p.m. near 528 Main St. Police said Phillips’ pickup truck struck a utility pole before coming to a rest on its side. Phillips reportedly got out of the pickup truck before first responders arrived.

Main Street from Tremont Road to Gibbs Avenue was closed until roughly 10 p.m. due to the broken utility pole.

Phillips will be summoned to Wareham District Court.
