Wareham Police arrest 3 for illegal drug possession

Wareham Police Department detectives arrested three people after finding suspected heroin and cocaine in a residence while executing a search warrant on Wednesday.

The search was conducted at 3 Dowd Ave. as a result of an investigation regarding the possession and sale of heroin from the residence, according to police. Detectives and assisting patrol officers forced entry into the home after receiving no answer at the door. They encountered five people in the house.

During the search of the house, detectives found 14 individually knotted plastic bags containing suspected heroin and another plastic bag with nine individually knotted bags containing suspected cocaine. Four digital scales and empty "corner cut" plastic baggies were also found in the house.

Arrested at the scene were 32-year-old Joseph Lemay, 24-year-old Jenna Pires and 21-year-old David Hill, all residents of 3 Dowd Ave. Lemay and Pires were charged with possession of a class A substance with intent to distribute (heroin) and Hill was charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.
