WCTV's open house offers special effects
Costumed kids not only got a chance to see what Wareham Community Television does on a daily basis, but they also got involved in the creative process during the station's open house held on Saturday.
From taking pictures with backdrops added in through computers, to being on the set and filming a TV show, visitors toured the entire building and received a warm welcome. Wareham Community Television is funded by cable fees and broadcasts a variety of municipal and community programming.
The excitement of being on television froze some kids while others seemed comfortable in front of the camera.
Kids got to choose the background of their choice while in front of a "green screen," which projects images that appear on camera. Visitors went home with souvenirs to share with their families, along with candy, donuts, apple slices and caramel and apple cider.
