To the Editor:

On Monday, May 20, the Wareham Lodge of Elks held its Veterans Fundraiser, starring the "Singing Trooper." More than 100 guests attended the event, which was co-chaired by Dave Carson, Ted and Helen Hatch.

Thanks to all the supporters who came and enjoyed the evening with an extremely moving and patriotic show.

One comment from an attendee -- "Great show! This guy rocks!" -- pretty much describes the whole evening.

Again, the community responded to our need to support such a worthwhile endeavor. These events help the Lodge to provide special social activities for those who have served and provided continued freedom to all of us.
