Wareham Community Television and Morse Lumber presented Wareham High School students with a brand new news desk on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

WCTV Education Coordinator Christian Fernandes, who assists with instruction at Wareham High, designed the desk for the students to use during their weekly news show. The materials for the desk and labor for its construction were donated by Morse Lumber.

The former news desk was simply an old table, which wasn’t conducive to interviewing news show guests, noted Fernandes.

The students were grateful for the gift.

“If I see anybody’s butt on this,” joked student John Brand, one of the hosts of the weekly show, as he gestured to the door, “you’re going to end up out there!”
