Philip N. Rossi Sr., 71
Philip N. Rossi Sr, of Wareham, died peacefully in the comfort of his own home on Sept 6 at the young age of 71.
By his side was his girlfriend of many years, Polly Ann Anderson. Formerly from Medfield, MA Phil was born in Boston, the son of the late Romeo Rossi and Mildred (Balboni) Rossi.
Phil was an extremely hard worker his entire life. The majority of his employment was spent as a construction contractor but he also had impressive success as a heavy equipment operator, in real estate, and as a self-proprietor of a tanning salon.
He was a member of the local Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles. His all-time favorite hobby was woodworking but he also enjoyed boating, dancing, Ford Thunderbirds and Bob Segar.
No matter what he was doing, he was compassionate and always put the needs of his family first. He was the beloved father of Philip N. Rossi Jr and Jodi Rossi of Canton, OH; Lisa Jane Rossi and Robert Nawoichik of Onset; and Paul H. Rossi of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was the cherished grandfather to Brandon Rossi of Wareham, and Joshua, Nathan, Jarred, Mathew and Eva Louise Nawoichik all of Onset; and he was also the adoring uncle to Anna Marie (Rossi) Weston of Port St. Lucie, FL. Within them all, he leaves behind his sharp sense of humor, his attribute of honesty and his principled approaches to being a treasured and respectful individual. Some were even lucky enough to have inherited his beautiful blue eyes.
Services will be held at a later date and will be private. In celebration of Phil’s life, we ask that you humbly help a friend in need as he always did, or simply raise your glass in his honor.
