Public invited to Planet Fitness grand opening on May 18
Wareham’s new Planet Fitness will mark its opening with a ribbon cutting and celebration on May 18, at its location on 2991 Cranberry Highway (next to Stop and Shop), from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event is open to the public and will also feature special discounted membership offers, live radio remotes from WHYA-FM and WPXC-FM, giveaways and prizes for those in attendance, including a PF treadmill, a signed Tom Brady NFL football, Boston Red Sox luxury box tickets, Boston Cannons tickets and signed Boston Bruins team gear, as well as Planet Fitness gift bags and refreshments.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 5 p.m. and will be attended by Wareham officials and community members, Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce representatives, and Planet Fitness franchisees Jonathan Epstein, Brian Kablik and Bill Whelan.
The new 20,000-square-foot location features more than 100 pieces of cardio equipment, strength equipment and free weights, a private stretching and abs area, free unlimited fitness training for all members, and additional amenities that include tanning booths and beds and HydroMassage beds and chairs.
The club is open 5 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays, and7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
