Marjorie L. (Franklin) Medeiros, 81, of West Wareham, died Oct. 22 at her home after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Lawrence A. Medeiros.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late James and Emily (Russell) Franklin. Mrs. Medeiros worked as certified nurses’ assistant at Tremont Nursing Home for 44 years.

She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Wareham and enjoyed yard sales and moped riding.

She is survived by her children, Raymond Bourque, Maureen Bowman, Dawn Washburn, Lawrence Medeiros, Jr., Michael Medeiros and Lori Bowman all of Wareham; her siblings, Priscilla Nightingale of Buzzards Bay, Linda Reed, Rebecca Franklin and Joan Monty all of Wareham and David Franklin of Mexico; 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
