Kenneth Andrade, 66

Kenneth A. Andrade, 66, died April 6 at Boston Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Shawna (Pina) Andrade.

Born in Wareham, he graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School and then studied to become a massage therapist. Kenny also was a master woodcarver and worked as a landscaper.

He was a member of the Pythagorean Lodge A.F. and A.M. in Marion, volunteered for Best Buddies, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. He was a fan of Superman comics and films and was a “Trekkie.” Most importantly, Kenny was a devoted husband, friend and family man.

Survivors include his wife, Shawna (Pina) Andrade of Wareham; his son, Matthew Rose of Wareham; his daughter, Sarabeth Andrade of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Ayden Rose and Kora Andrade-Rose; his siblings, Edward Andrade and his wife Lola of Miami, FL, Lois “Cookie” Street of Baltimore, Maryland, Tisha Andrade of Onset, and Paul “Rocky” Andrade and his wife Cindy of Pensacola, Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham on Sunday, April 15, from 3 to 7 p.m. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Following the visitation, relatives and friends are invited to join the Andrade family at the Dudley L. Brown V.F.W. Post, 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road, Onset, to further celebrate Kenny's life.
