Garden Club schedules monthly meeting, flower and bake sale

The regular monthly meeting of the Wareham Garden Club will be held Thursday, September 8 at the Fellowship Hall, First Congregational Church on Gibbs Avenue at 9:30 a.m.

Following the meeting, Constance McCausland, a nationally accredited Master Flower Show Judge will present a program entitled “Monet: Impressions in Flowers”. She will present the life, times, and paintings of Claude Monet, interpreted through a variety of floral arrangements. Guests are welcome to attend this program at no charge.

Members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the monthly meetings which will be donated to a local food pantry.

The Garden Club will hold its Fall Perennial and Bake Sale on Saturday, September 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Old Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main Street.

Shrubs (Cotoneaster, Dogwood, Hydrangea), numerous perennials, house plants, herbs, gardening tools, gardening books, and cookbooks will be available for purchase. Homemade baked goods, by garden club members, will also be on sale.
