WAREHAM- James M. Jones of Riviera Beach, FL, passed December 11, 2022 at the age of 85. He was the son of the late James and Margaret Jones. Jim and his late wife, Barbara (Bowker) had three children, Robert (Donna), James and Karen, five grandchildren, Kayana, Maxwell, Jeffrey, Valerie and Nicholas and two great grandchildren, Dale and Mark.

Jim had eight brothers and sisters, Arthur, Margaret, Carolyn and Deborah pre-deceased him; surviving siblings are William, John Paul, Maryann and Barbara. Jim was an excellent athlete who played many sports in high school at Sharon, MA. Golf was his favorite. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 and was stationed in California.

After serving in the Army he returned to MA and became a PGA pro at Sharon C.C., Duxbury Yacht Club, and later pro and partner at Little Harbor C.C. in Wareham. He was known for promoting Junior Golf. He loved to dance and sing and was always entertaining. Later, he retired to FL and joined his church’s traveling Broadway and comedy show where he was the master of ceremonies. He enjoyed following all sports, especially New England. Jim had a great sense of humor and was loved by his family and many friends.
