Mite C hockey wins Lobster Pot
Wareham Youth Hockey is proud to announce that their Mite C team, representing Wareham, Marion, Fairhaven and Rochester, won the Barnstable Youth Hockey Association's Lobster Pot # 3 in the 1 1/4-pound Division this weekend.
The team was 3-0 in the tournament, which was held at three rinks in Hyannis and Yarmouth from March 17 to 21, defeating Bourne, Barnstable Wild, and the Star Hawks, who represent Milford, Hudson, Northboro, Upton and surrounding towns. In the game against the Star Hawks, Tyler Lovendale scored the winning goal with three seconds left on the clock!.
The league playoffs begin Saturday, March 27, at the Barnstable / Hyannis Youth and Community Center on the Butler Ice Rink. Wareham will play Yarmouth Dennis; a win will put them in the Championship Game Sunday morning.
Team members include: Vittorio Consoletti, Jake Drew, John Rodrigues, Ben Austin, Jack Barrows, Foster Chandler, Kaleb Riggle, Tyler Lovendale, Carlee Drew, Jack Martins, Nick Snow, Jameson Woodward, and Mitchell Noble (Goalie). John Lovendale is the head coach, and assistant coaches include Teddy Drew, Travis Riggle, and Tim Drew.
