Carl E. Bredberg, 67

Carl E. Bredberg, 67, of Wareham, died June 4, in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab – Forestview, after a long illness.

He was born in Boston, raised in Melrose, and lived in Lakeville for many years before moving to Wareham 14 years ago.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He served for 8 years.

He graduated from Melrose High School and Fisher College in Easton.

Mr. Bredberg worked as an Electronics Engineer for General Dynamics for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 121 in Berkley Semara Radio Club in Dartmouth, call letters K1KID SK. He enjoyed astronomy, gadgets, and reading Popular Science.

Survivors include his wife, Carol D. Nagle Bredberg; 3 sons, Carl Bredberg of Westboro; Glen Bredberg of Middleboro, and Eric Bredberg of Attleboro; a sister, Cindy Parent of North Andover; 6 grandchildren.

His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway.
