A Middleboro woman was arrested Thursday, Dec. 19 outside of Target after police received a call about a second shoplifter in three days from the store.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to Target for an active shoplifter. The shoplifter was identified as Amanda Manning, 37, who fled the store to an awaiting vehicle before police arrived. Police pulled the vehicle over and found Manning attempting to hide in the backseat.

Manning had seven outstanding warrants in various courts and was placed in custody under those warrants.

Manning was held without bail and the incident is being further investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division.
