Paul Ernest Martin 86
Paul Ernest Martin 86, of Onset Mass. passed away at his residence in Antelope California on October 18, 2024.
Born in Wareham Mass. He was the son of Antone "Toi" and Minnie P. Martin. At the age of 17, Ernest enlisted to serve his country by joining the Army, later continuing honor to his service with the National Guard.
The majority of his work life, Ernest made his mark in construction, building home additions, paving roads.... Testaments his to strong work ethic and craftsmanship.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents Antone "Toi" and Minnie P. Martin, his beloved wife Nancy J. Lopes Martin, sister, Pauline Fontes, brothers, Anthony Martin, Gerald Martin and sister Joyce Evora. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Martin of California, devoted daughter Pamela M. Martin-Tanner (whom he shared with Nancy Lopes Martin) grandchildren, Dion P. Tanner, Desiree N. Tanner, Great- grandchildren, Malcolm, Elijah and Aurea all of Arizona.
Surviving siblings, Dolores Sequiera, Beverly Bingham, Barbara Monterio, Lorraine Andrade, Sheila Fortes, Glenn "Joey" Martin, cousin "bro“ Robert M. Gomes,along with many saddened nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services were held on August 8, 2025.
A hard working man with an inspiring life filled with Dedication and adventure. Ernest left behind a legacy of Love, laughter, remarkable achievements and cherished family memories.
Ernest's life was also influenced by the love of sports and competition. A lifelong RED SOX fan! In his youth he played baseball. He was also a renowned "Champion Bowler" and Ping-Ping player accomplishments - that brought him pride and joy. As he grew older, he found happiness on the golf course enjoying the game as much as the camaraderie it brought.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends telling jokes, fishing, boating, playing guitar, and a good game of pool.
Ernest cherished quieter moments with his beloved wife Nancy J Lopes Martin, together they enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, capturing snapshots of their adventures and celebrating life, love and happiness until her passing.

Ernest will always and forever be remembered for the love of his family, his inspiration for life, remarkable achievements, his Great sense of Humor and his incredible spirit! He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and loved him.
