Applications are now available for the 2021 Dr. Thomas Gleason Scholarships.

Two scholarships -- one for $1,000 and one for $500 -- will be awarded to Wareham residents who are accepted or currently enrolled in a college, university, or professional training school to study medicine or an allied field such as nursing, physical or occupational therapy, or medical technology. 

Applications are available by contacting gleasonscholarship@gmail.com or through schools’ Guidance Departments. The deadline for submission is May 1, 2021.

The Dr. Thomas Gleason Scholarship is awarded annually to honor Wareham’s longtime physician who passed away in February, 2020 after a brief illness. For further information about the scholarship or to donate to the Scholarship Fund, contact gleasonscholarship@gmail.com.
