Kenneth A. Wright, 78
BRADENTON, FL – Kenneth A. Wright, 78, of Bradenton, FL formerly of Wareham, died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton, FL. He was the husband of the late Ellen M. (Westgate) Wright.
Born in Weymouth, Kenneth was the son of the late Jessie (Stuart) Manson and James Wright. Mr. Wright worked for New England Telephone beginning as a garageman and retired as manager for Verizon Real Estate. He was a longtime winter resident of Bradenton, FL.
Mr. Wright was a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1967 to 1970.
He enjoyed travelling with his wife throughout the country by RV and was a member of the North Shore Clamdiggers camping club. Mr. Wright was a member of Social Harmony Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Wareham. He enjoyed golf and the beach.
Survivors include his brothers, Paul Wright and wife Ann of Wareham; Kevin Wright and wife Melanie of Crossville, TN; sister-in-law Linda Wright of Brooksville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was predeceased by his brother James “Jimmy” Wright.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 11 AM to 1 PM. A prayer service will begin at 1 PM. Inurnment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
