Kevin Porazzo, of Wareham, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026 at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Nancy (Carver) and Silverio Porazzo.
Kevin grew up in Dedham where he made many lifelong friends. He graduated from Dedham High School class of 1974. He worked at BayBank for many years before eventually heading to Boston Edison and then to trade school where he became a plumber and worked most of his career on Martha’s Vineyard. He was a member of the United States Air National Guard for 10 years.
Kevin had the gift of gab and could carry on a conversation with just about anyone. He had a magnetic personality and the ability to make anyone laugh. He was also very generous.
Kevin was an avid New England Patriots fan and animal lover. Kevin loved his neighborhood of Parkwood Beach, being so close to the water, and he enjoyed his friendships with many neighbors.
Kevin was the loving lifetime companion of Brenda E. Dastous. Brother of Deborah Greenleaf of Texas, Marie Spillane and her husband William of Franklin, Karen Colton and her companion Tony Gaita of Marshfield, and Samuel M. Porazzo and his wife Karen of Wareham. Kevin is survived by his beloved kitties Nickels & Buzzy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, close childhood friends, and neighbors who all loved him very much.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 24th from 10:00AM-11:30AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28). A funeral home service will begin at 11:30AM. Burial will immediately follow at Agawam Cemetery in Wareham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Dedham Animal Rescue League at 55 Anna’s Place Dedham, MA 02026.
