BROCKTON — An Onset man, Donald Humes, has been indicted on one count of manslaughter and two counts of reckless endangerment of a child, following a police investigation into the overdose death of his two-and-a-half year old son, Cameron Humes, announced Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

According to a statement from the District Attorney’s office, on April 24, 2022, Wareham Police received a 911 call from Donald Humes, stating that his son, Cameron Humes, was unresponsive and not breathing. Wareham Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the home on Waban Avenue, located Cameron unresponsive and began performing life-saving procedures. The toddler was transported to Tobey Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation determined the manner of Cameron Humes’s death was acute methadone intoxication, said Cruz.
