Sprucing up the trails at River Walk
Event Date
The Wareham Land Trust will host a volunteer trail workday at the River Walk Conservation Area on Tuesday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Volunteers will help maintain trails, remove fallen trees and branches, and close off select existing paths at the trust’s newest conservation property.
Participants are encouraged to bring work gloves if available. Tools will be provided, though volunteers may also bring personal equipment such as loppers, clippers or saws.
Attendees should also bring water, sunscreen, bug spray and wear appropriate outdoor work clothing.
The group will meet at the conservation area parking location at 191 Cromesett Road in Wareham. From Route 6, drivers should turn onto Cromesett Road and continue approximately 1.5 miles to the site.
Those interested in helping can register at warehamlandtrust.org.
