Temporary on-street parking ban to be put in place due to expected snowfall
Jan 23, 2026
With heavy snowfall expected on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26, residents parking on the street should start looking for off-street parking now.
The Wareham Police Department is reminding residents that from Nov. 1 to April 1, on-street parking is banned once more than three inches of snow accumulates on the roads. The police department recommends making parking accommodations as soon as possible.
Penalties for non-compliance could result in parking violations or towing at the owner’s expense.
Residents looking for parking may utilize municipal lots except for Town Hall and the library and clearing town-owned roadways will be the top priority for snow removal.
The parking ban will remain in place until roadways are fully cleared.
