The Wareham Land Trust has launched a new program for kids of all ages who want to explore the many green spaces throughout town.

The Wareham Land Trust Passport Program contains a guide to all the publicly accessible conservation land in town, along with activities like mazes and questions that can be answered by writing or drawing.

Kids who complete the activities can bring the booklet to the Earth Day Festival at the Boys and Girls Club, 13 Highland Ave., on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Melyssa Millett, the youth education coordinator for the Land Trust, designed the passport, and will release a passport for each season.

For those just beginning to explore green spaces, she suggests starting at one near a familiar place like home or the school the child attends.

Millett said that Tweedy and Barnes is a great trail for walking, and both the Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary and Great Neck Conservation area are fun to explore.
