Wareham officials open Multi-Service Center as warming facility

Mar 3, 2018

The Town of Wareham has opened the Multi-Service Center, located at 48 Marion Road, as a warming center for residents without power in the wake of Friday's devastating nor'easter.

Town Administrator Derek Sullivan said the building will serve as a place for people to heat up, charge their phones and regroup before power is restored. Wareham Police said those visiting should arrive with clothes, medications and food if necessary. No pets are allowed.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a low of 35 degrees for Saturday night.
