Cindy Lou Santos

Cindy Lou Santos, of Onset, MA, born on December 13, 1951, passed away on July 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Stella Henry Silva and John B. “Skeeter.” Santos. She was predeceased by her sisters, Deborah A. Spinola and Dolores M. Lopes, and her brothers, John B. “Butchy” Santos Jr. and Rodney “Skeeter” Santos.

She is survived by her devoted daughter and the pride and joy of her life, Shyla Silvia; her cherished grandsons, Lay’vion and La’kyah, who brought her endless happiness; her twin brothers, Renee and Rory Santos, brothers, Bruce, Jovi and Freddy, sisters, Peggy, Linda and Shirley. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Cindy owned and operated her own housekeeping business for many years, where she built lasting relationships through her hard work, kindness, and dedication. She loved to dance, enjoyed cooking, and was especially known throughout the community for her delicious homemade Cape Verdean soup, Canja, which she generously prepared and shared at countless family gatherings and community functions.

Cindy Lou will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and bringing people together around her table will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Please join us as we celebrate Cindy’s life with a New Orleans-style Second Line Walk through the neighborhood where she was born and raised, sharing memories, laughter, music, and love along the way. We will meet on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 10am. There is parking available at Hynes Field Public Parking Lot (located at the bottom of the hill, across from Lopes Park). We’ll take a short walk together before gathering for Cindy’s Celebration of Life.

A Celebration of Life honoring Cindy Lou Santos will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The CAZ, 10 Barros Drive, Marion, MA 02738. Please wear your favorite shade of pink to honor Cindy’s life. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate her life and share the memories she leaves behind.
