Comedy night brings in over $3K for library

The Wareham Library Foundation raised $3,673 to support the Wareham Free Library at its comedy fundraiser on Friday, June 26.
According to foundation president Kerry Mello, the foundation raises tens of thousands of dollars each year to help cover the library's salaries and operating expenses.
Mello said that the fundraiser was "a fun way" to raise money for the library and that attendees seemed to enjoy the evening's comedians. Audience members enjoyed some good laughs and raffle prizes as part of the fundraiser. The evening was organized by Funny4Funds, a Rhode Island-based organization that hosts comedy nights to raise money for different causes.
