Ghouls and ghosts decorate the coast

Oct 24, 2023

Residents are ready for a night of fright and fun this Halloween season.

Interested in some decoration sight seeing? Look no further.

Readers have submitted photos of their spooky decor.

Check out the photos or take a ride around Wareham to see them in person.

Here is the route we recommend:

Start at 53 East Central Avenue in Onset, where Jeanne Daigneau and her family have their “not-so-scary” decorations on display. Daigneau said, “My wife and I have lived here for over 5 years and love to decorate for the seasons, especially Halloween. Nothing more fun tham seeing the kids enjoyment of what we have on display.”

Next, head to 13 Longwood Avenue, where Penny Blair and her family have welcomed an eight-legged friend to protect their yard.

Then, head to 20 West Boulevard, and catch a skeleton taking a ride on a seal. Yes, a seal. Bob Forrest said he had a rubber seal and skeleton and decided to put them to good use.

While in Onset, you may spot the porch of Sylvia Melvin, who said she decorated this season because she loves Halloween.

Depending on where you start, you may want to head to 16 Penikese Street in West Wareham first or last. Either way, Lisa Linhares’ husband and granddaughter have set up some fun decorations for you all to see.
