Wareham Village Association announces a-maize-ing scarecrow winner

Unlike victors of the past, the 2025 winning scarecrow of the Wareham Village Association has a brain, heart and courage.
Leslie Durling, who took to Trick-or-Treat on Main Street dressed in her finest scarecrow outfit is the winner of the annual scarecrow contest put on by the association. With straw poking out of her sleeves, Durling handed out candy for Riverside Cafe.
Scarecrows created by community members lined Main Street into Onset in October in what association President, Tracy McGraw, said is sometimes a "hardcore," competition.
Durling is from Florida, stopping in to say "hay," to her friends at the cafe.
