Local mystery author tells secrets

May 25, 2010

Writing detective fiction is fun. And hard work. Want to hear an author describe how it's done?

On Wednesday, May 26, at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library, Edward Lodi will combine readings from his recently published whodunit, "Murder at Anawan Rock," with an informal discussion of the techniques for writing detective fiction.

Drawing from his experiences as an author, and as a former book reviewer for The Armchair Detective, Lodi will define, explain, and give examples of the "ingredients" necessary for the completion of a successful mystery novel.

The talk will take place at 7 p.m. The Jonathan Bourne Public Library is located at 19 Sandwich Road, Bourne, MA (508-759-0644). Program is free with no registration required. Light refreshments will be served. www.bournelibrary.org
